about
Riddhi Bhattacharjee is the founder of RAP Education Photography School in Kolkata, India. Over the years, he has also worked with several companies in different professional roles, gaining diverse experiences that later contributed to his unique perspective as an artist and educator. Riddhi’s journey with photography began in 2001, when he first picked up his father’s camera out of pure curiosity and passion. From a young age, he was deeply drawn to the arts — particularly music, painting, and poetry — which nurtured his sense of aesthetics and visual storytelling. In 2008, Riddhi decided to take photography more seriously, transforming his long-time hobby into a professional pursuit. However, the beginning was far from easy. His family was completely against his decision to choose photography as a career, considering it an uncertain path. Undeterred, Riddhi started his journey as a freelance photographer, taking small projects, experimenting, and learning through real-world experiences. Through years of dedication, exploration, and self-learning, he not only honed his craft but also developed a deep understanding of art, visual perception, and creative communication. This foundation later inspired him to establish RAP Education Photography School — a platform built to redefine the way photography and visual art are taught in India, encouraging students to see beyond the technical and explore the artistic, philosophical, and cultural depths of photography.
